Lucky the parity is working. Top ten shows no brand has an advantage.

Live on the Gold Coast and hope the race continues for many years, but after about 56 years of following motor sport, I will see it on Kayo. Have a Westfield 7 and an MX5 in the garage so enthusiasm isn't a problem.

There was a time when this sort of thing was important. It has been sanitised to the point where driver interaction is no longer important in the way Supercars is marketed. As someone who has followed the sport for 50 years, has paid from the start to go behind the pay wall, and am not convinced that Gen 3 is a panacea, I wonder whether I need this type of series in my life. It's a lot different to when a couple of Public Servants with a Cooper S could dream.....

Didn't go, even though I live on the Gold Coast. Foxtel (or Kayo) does a very good job.
Seems that wisdom comes with age. Why can't they show driving and set up skills and still drive on the racing surface?

I never though Paul Morris was effective as a competitor, but I find it amazing how many good, young racers have been through the Norwell training. It is even more obvious when it rains.....

Nostalgia / Re: Old Motorsport Magazines

Regrettably, I've thrown them out. Have SCW and a few others, but have even thrown out 2 week old AA's. BTW, if you are near the Gold Coast, I may be able to help, I'm 72. Was involved for a few years.

Seems to be some misunderstanding of who the new owners are, what classes they control, and how the extended meeting was able to proceed. No bias here, just ask Adderton and Terry.

I acknowledge that Morris and Adderton "lost", but it doesn't mean that I don't respect their intentions. A lot of their ideas appear in the final deal anyway....

We can only hope. I miss GRM. 😏 I trust Brian Boyd, John McMellan, and the Rodgers family but the rest of the consortium worries me. I have no love for Adderton or Terry Morris, but I respect their intention.

BTW, surely the new owners have realised that Gen 3 doesn't really solve any problems. I am yet to hear any reason why TA2 wouldn't work. If you must "Australianise"  them, then more power,  better tyres and MARC uprights would make them different, but still cheap to repair or replace.

Surely this is confirmation that Supercars is sold to the ARG aligned group?

Like Mike, I was lucky enough to have an observant GP, a good Urologist, a similar operation and a very gratifying outcome.
I hope Mr Crompton is as lucky.
It is a very frightening experience and I can only join in the suggestion that any test is a far better experience.
