I was never a fan of this track.  Too tight, difficult to pass on and basically it became a high speed procession.  Happy to see it go to a proper circuit.

The Sandown 500 was always an important lead up race to the Bathurst 1000 and had a big crowd following. Sad to see it no longer available on free to air TV and promoted.  I looked at the footage of the main grandstand that was shown towards the end of the race and it was fairly empty.  Either the majority were Ford fans who had left earlier in the day when they could see their cars had no chance or more likely that crowd numbers were low on the day.  It will be interesting to see the crowd numbers at Bathurst this year in comparison to previous years.

Be great to see Cam and Chaz reunited again so they can take each other out of races :)

As long as it doesn't end up with a time certain finish due to bad light or some other factor.  This race needs to be the full 161 laps.
