I think I'm well and truly in the minority, but I think I prefer the white WAU look last year to the black one, both last year and this year

Probably deserves its own thread, but heard 888 are going back to Ford

Quote from: LG on September 17, 2024, 03:03:09 PMThis is more 2026 but not starting a new thread.
Big story coming out about the Toyota Supra coming in 2026 with Walkinshaw.
Parity will be a problem for them with 3 brands now.

Have heard this too, a mate told me at Sandown. I dismissed it, but he assured me it was true.

Expect an announcement this week, maybe Thursday.

I support the new safety car rules, was always terrified of a Marshall or someone being cleaned up by a car arriving at warp factor trying to catch the chain.

However, this may be sandown specific, it felt like it took far too long to restart. When the SCT car went in the gravel, it felt like it took 5 laps or more to get going again. Might be due to the trucks dumping the cars back in the pits again, because of the Sandown paddock layout.

But yeah, lost some racing there.

Wish Penrite did the same blue as the Moff one.

Still, I love the retro liveries, so don't want to be critical

I watch every race, whether it will be live or on replay.

I check in here semi regularly, but get my news through other sources now. Try and avoid the Ford v GM stuff if I can, the care factor isn't there anymore anyway.

Will still watch Bathurst from start to finish and love everything about that.

Agree with others, there needs to be more racing throughout the year too.

That's what I heard

Quote from: Trevor on October 09, 2023, 06:01:01 AMWith all the '60 year' celebrations going on, did anyone notice the lack of talk of Mclaughlin?  There was a piece on all the best pasts of the last 60, but nothing about McLaughlin - Penske obviously upset Skaife on the way out

To be fair, he only won one race there. He's a fair bit down the Bathurst pecking order.

His 2017 top ten got a bit of a mention though, and deservedly so

Generally a disappointing race, but not surprising.

Although a late race safety car may have spiced it up.

The cars clearly are not even.

I found this a tough watch. Dementia is awful.

All the best Allan. And kudos to all of his carers.

I don't get why teams keep drivers out for so long when the timing proves they are losing time to those who stopped early.
Because they need to change to hards & that would make them even slower.

Dare I bring up parity? I think the Mustangs need a bit more..

I agree.

At the track the last couple of days, I'm not sure it's an aero tweak though. Not convinced they have engine parity yet...

Yeah I've since read this and have changed my mind on Shane!

Skaifey has to be careful with the amount of hats he's wearing
