Quote from: muz on November 24, 2023, 05:45:07 PMThomas Randle has really stepped up the past few rounds. I would love to see this continue into 2024!

Kostecki, Feeney, Brown, Waters, Randle, Payne, Mostert, de Pasquale - this would be amazing to see these guys all battling in 2024

Most people are definitely sleeping on Thomas Randle. He's got pretty impressive junior credentials so I'm not surprised with his recent results.

He should be even stronger next year in a 2 car team instead of being the 3/4 car in a 4 car team.

Quote from: muz on October 30, 2023, 07:49:41 AMGood to see the Ford's back in the mix, of course it will raise parity questions and I would love to know what the chat in the paddock is. But despite this, Brodie and SVG were still in the hunt and it proves that they have been the best out there all year.

True, but the Mustang drivers didn't forget how to drive overnight. This could of been such an incredible year and one of been the closest championships in a long time. If they refine the aero and fix the engine disparity then next years championship will be one of the most open ever and I can't wait!

The lack of straight line speed is going to hurt the Mustang's in this race.

Quote from: Dasha on October 08, 2023, 11:06:54 AMOK i have tried to keep a positive attitude all year but after watching GM win all but one race this year & the pathetic attempt by supercars to look like they want to rectify the advantage GM have is just not good enough.
This has been going on now since the 90's.
Just look at how quick they slowed all the Mustangs when Scotty McLaughlin enjoyed a good year & which gave GM back the advantage.

I have a question to ALL the GM fans here on V8 Central. "Be completely honest & ask yourself how would you feel if things where reversed & the Mustangs had won all but one race this year. "Do you guys honestly think that what is going on with this so called parity is right, or for the good of the sport do you think that Supercars should have given the Mustangs what is needed so we can all enjoy some even close racing between both brands.

I have been watching the events at Bathurst & I am completely blown away by the way the commentators are trying to speak it up that everything is all good.
I wont mention the commentators name that said after the last qualifying before the top ten shootout "said something like "Theres no problem with parity" i thought "you have got to be kidding".

I did get my hopes up when the Ford teams tried to get the new areo package in the hope for a chance to keep up with the Camaro,s but should've known better.
I really didn't think i would see things get this bad, at least now it is clear & open to everyone that this sport is "corrupt" yes that is a heavy word but there's no other way to describe what we have witnessed this year.

Shame shame shame supercars, it will be a hollow win to the Camaros today.

No more hollow then 2019s Ford victory

The one that #17 was going to win regardless?
DJRTP certainly didn't think so...

Huh? It was so #12 didn't stack and lose positions.

Just for those with short memories:

I believe  most people are fully aware of what happened and there is no evidence in those articles to say that the slowing down of Car #12 was to help Car #17 to win or the reason they won.

The fact that 88 and 9 have to keep double stacking makes it look like the Mustang's are more competitive than they actually are.
#8
True but it's always the case when you're not cruising out in front doing it easy.
#9
Why are multiple Camaro drivers mentioning the Mustang is so fast in a straight line when it's clearly the complete opposite?

I guess it's showing their true colours and how they aren't interested in competing fairly against their fellow competitors.

Quote from: SetonFan on October 07, 2023, 05:53:37 PMGood demonstration there of the straight line issues for the Mustang with all of them struggling with sectors 1 and 3.
But generally quicker in Sector 2, so maybe a touch more downforce and drag than a Camaro?

I'd say so. They probably have no choice trying to chase rear stability. If they don't do it they'd probably be undriveable across the top of the mountain.

I think today was more a case of the Mustang achieving its potential. If they get it right they'll be pushing for podiums but if a Camaro put's it together they'll still be too strong.

The main difference with today's incident was the contact was side to side even though Cam was pretty far back. If SVG didn't turn down on him he would have been on the inside for the next corner anyway.

It was good to see some close racing though between the brands. It's just a shame it's taken this long for the Mustang drivers to have the chance to compete.

Supercars are extremely out of touch if they're given Brodie a bad sportsmanship flag! Why would you not want to promote good racing??
#13
Yea there was, unfortunately it's just too hard to pass without a significant speed advantage.

Gen 3 cant come quick enough.

I thought the racing was pretty high quality this weekend considering they haven't raced for 100+ days!

Looking forward to seeing how the next 3 weeks of racing pan out leading into Bathurst.
