Quote from: AlbertM on March 24, 2024, 12:09:48 AMThe website is now mired in google ads and multiple pop ups. That's probably where the revenue is coming from.
The website is horrible.
I also noticed they finally killed v8supercars.com.au
Has anyone signed up to MySupercars+?

I was never a fan of the FPR Castrol cars with the red and green but the new #55 somehow looks really good.

I think it's more than cheeky. It's a bit of a dick move no? Sticking it to Kostecki and being Bull headed.

Last year I loved the Erebus story and wanted them to win. Now it is such a sour taste seeing all this unfold.
No different when DJR had a large 1 on 17 and 18. Not long later Supercars made them change it. They are the champion team so deserve some recognition. However it won't stay.

We'll find out when the season starts or maybe if lucky just before it.

Quote from: LG on January 31, 2024, 07:06:29 AMIt seems to me that Barry Ryan strikes again.
During the season there was a couple of quiet rumours of unrest but the fact that both drivers were going really well sort of scuppered them.
It appears that Will was the smart one negotiating his release to join 888 Racing.
I don't think Brodie will end up anywhere else, certainly not this year.
It seems everyone is blaming Barry? I like his no bull**** hard man approach to sport, if it was that bad neither driver would have won the championship last year. And Betty would have sorted it out anyway.
Will going to T8 was simply opportunity. Anyone would take it.
Reynolds leaving was probably sponsor related.

If it isn't Barry Ryan then who is it?
How about no one?
Read the two other newer posts on this page. There are many more possible reasons.

I am on holiday, was in Upper Coomera today visiting the GC Motor Museum, the area is really destructed. We were lucky to avoid road closures and to make it to the museum.
Glad Fabs is ok, I'm sure his insurance is sorting it out and living happily ever after...

Ford will leave regardless if they're winning or not. 2015 was a prime example the last time they left.

Quote from: AlbertM on December 10, 2023, 10:39:44 AMAero testing is underway in the US. Supercars have put out a vague video as expected. It looks like they are going with post Bathurst Mustang kit. I hope more technical detail comes out eventually.

Gotta laugh though how Supercars are making such a big deal out it. Not only trying to drown out their woeful introduction of Gen3. But are one of the last major categories to test in a wind tunnel.
The teams didn't help either. Teams should have been saying before this year that Gen3 needs wind tunnel testing.
It wasn't until months after pre season aero testing that DJ started to mention it.
Of all the clever engineers you would think...

Only if you ignore Walkinshaw, Edwards, Rushbrook, Adderton....

Zac Brown offered to help. https://www.speedcafe.com/2023/12/09/zak-brown-disappointed-by-supercars-silence/
Yeah he's saying that now.
My point is, NO ONE mentioned wind tunnel testing last year when Gen 3 was being tested.
Until there were arguable issues this year.

If Anton doesn't do something soon he'll be an also ran and disappear off the radar.
Certainly fading away as Fords rising star.
The question is how long Anton, and even Ludo will remain at DJR?
