Changes for Shogun Autosport and Bundaberg Rum Racing are both approved.  The Current Teams thread now reflects those along with Ain't Care Motorports' recent change.

Quote from: fordman on February 05, 2024, 03:24:51 PMI had hoped it was a personal issue, but now coca cola has bailed.....
Back to Erebus and Coca-Cola:  Did I miss it in a previous round?  Coca-Cola is now on the bonnet of Fullwood's Middy's car.  Still on Randle's rear panels, too.

Change is done, skaifey.  I was thinking of the same change but now that you have done it I will wait and see if you put the V8CFL jinx on Nick for Taupo.   ;D

Quote from: skaifeman on March 25, 2024, 11:33:24 AMAm I right in reading the rules that the changing of rosters is loosened up a little this year?
We can make 4 changes Groups A-D, and all 4 changes can be within the same group should one want to?
And we can make multiple changes between weekends, last year was limited to one?
You are allowed four changes total for Groups A-D.  Any combination of group changes is allowed.  Four total.
Yes, I loosened up the change requirements this year.  Multiple changes per weekend are allowed.  No limit.

Quote from: skaifeman on March 20, 2024, 02:42:22 PMIt references the Supercars website as to a potential increase in revenue, which is an absolute dumpster fire. Never been harder to navigate and requires way too much scrolling for the information at hand. The app isn't much different.
I will say this about that:  For the FIRST TIME EVER the Supercars website is actually reflecting the extra five bonus points scored by the individual drivers in the sprint races.

It's only been what......?  Four years?

I've watched the first two races.  Parity?

Throw the 888 Red Bull cars out of there and you pretty much have it.  Their engineering and bankroll are just gapping the field.

Sexual misconduct allegations!

Melbourne, VIC - As the series heads to the Australian Grand Prix weekend, accusations of sexual misconduct have been brought to the forefront of one of the R&K Motorsports sponsor's guests.

Christian Horner, on hand for the F1 round, is once again front and center as he has been accused of said harassment.

Accusations have been leveled at him by Ms. Millie Thrillie, a chimp adult film star, and a guest of The Yellow Group, R&K Motorsports' primary sponsor.

When asked to comment, Ms. Thrillie, who's real name is Jasteen Roberts, stated bluntly:

"That disgusting human of a man asked me if he could pet my fur."  She went on to say, "He then licked his lips and winked and said 'I bet you were SOMETHING before evolution'.  Then he asked if I wanted to compare bananas with him as he grabbed his center of gravity."

The Red Bull representatives in attendance immediately pressed back, "But you are a PORN STAR!"

"So is Stormy Daniels," replied Thrillie.  "That didn't keep Donald Trump from being put over a barrel!"

When asked about the allegations, Horner had no response, as expected.

As this bizarre story unfolds, R&K Motorsports with driver Todd Hazelwood currently sits third in points headed into this weekend.

...and the irony of Race 3, Steve, is that Tony probably would have scored decent points.  The race in itself was top shelf as many came from the back to the front back to the back and back to the front again and off track and pieces missing....

But yeah.  It's Tony's call.  I tip my cap to him for his stance.  He has the next move.

I'll take the low road on this one, Steve.

They run Race 1.  There were three grass fires and a huge shunt on the stretch leading into the hairpin which made it a time-limit race.  Only 1/3 of the distance.

Race 2:  The grid is set from the finish of Race 1 with the Top Ten inverted.  Tony starts 10th.

As we get to Race 3, we find out no points were awarded for Race 1 for it only went 1/3 the distance.  Yet the FIELD was set for Race 2 based on these finishing results.  So now in Race 3 we had cars who basically got a free pass in Race 2 due to the inversion now starting way up the order even though Race 1 didn't count for jack.

The TCR website is mum on all of this.  A total jack job of professionalism by the series.  You mean to tell me they could not have reached this conclusion overnight PRIOR to Race 2?

Not until someone protested.  I see the Bargwannas here somewhere.

You know, I like this series but besides their car counts dwindling, this doesn't help anything.  Good for Tony.  Walk away.  Do Trans-Am.

Getting back together here for the AGP Round and the first round of the V8CFL Tournament, the only appetizer I can bring to the table is there will be five bonus points awarded for the fastest lap in each of the four sprint races.

Beloved Australian GP series declares 'we deserve better' after alarming F1 demotions
Story by Jamie Woodhouse

The Supercars Championship is evaluating its future on the F1 Australian GP schedule after losing access to the pit lane and fans.

The Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne's Albert Park serves as one of the most iconic stops on the Formula 1 calendar, but ahead of the 2024 staging Australia's signature Supercars Championship has been left feeling uneasy over their treatment.

It is a stacked support-race bill for the 2024 Australian Grand Prix with Formula 2 and Formula 3 in action, which has seen Supercars booted out of the second pit lane to make way for F2, leaving Supercars personnel in tents behind the facility with fans not given access to the area.

It also means there will be no pit stops at this SuperSprint round.
And this has led chief executive Shane Howard to make it clear that the situation must be discussed with a new deal required to keep Supercars on the Australian Grand Prix schedule beyond 2024.

"This year will be a big change for us and we are working through that with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation," Howard told the Herald Sun.

"We would like to be in the pit lane ... but we acknowledge that Formula 2 is Formula 1's primary support.

"I understand their process in regard to it not being a general admission area because when you are trying to move race cars and lots of people in that area, it's a recipe for a problem.

"But we have been working very closely with [AGPC chief executive] Travis Auld and his team and Travis has made it very clear that he wants us there and he will look to try and do everything we can to improve what we have so we can put on a good show.

"But we need to rectify this situation with the fans. It is very important for our fans to be able to get access to our drivers and our teams. Unfortunately, we won't be able to fix it this year but we are going to work together and see if we can fix this [for the future].

"We want to be back but we will need to address those areas.

"We'll need to work with the corporation to deliver on everybody's expectations, be that our own being a championship round, being in a remote paddock and giving the fans what they want – good racing and access to our category.

"We will need to sit down together and just see what we can do and then once we have debriefed with everybody then we can make a calculated decision.

"It's a world-class event and we want to be part of it but, as I have said, it has to work for everybody."

I did see where they are giving five bonus points for the fastest lap in each race.  Very important for the V8CFL.   ;)
