Quote from: skaifeman on April 09, 2024, 09:27:11 AMThere's more to the story here though, he calls out Brodie and Paul Morris, not just Erebus. He's been put offside by all parties.

If it is the Dude that's had a role in it, he's pretty much killed a 30 plus year friendship considering the Morris and Adderton connection goes back to the Super Touring days.

It may have some merit as to what is going on.

There was a little story in this week's AA about Brodie changing management, so that little titbit may have some weight.

Also, I believe his former management was a friend of Norwell and Mr Boost, so if that alleged part may not go down very well with those people.

From what I've been reading his manager is one P Morris.

Maybe this is only a recent agreement though.

Up until this has all gone down, his manager has been a guy named Nathan Cayzer.

Jointly managed by Cayzer and Dude, like a fair few of the Norwell crew.

Would be a shame for a party to divide a team.

There is a post on the former Erebus Army Facebook page suggesting exactly that.

A statement which says absolutely nothing.

It may have carried more weight if it was released last week when the **** first surfaced.

Absolutely. After a week of not addressing the issue properly we are now at the point where cheating their way to a Championship is gaining traction.
I have no idea what the true story might be but someone needs to come out and tell it yesterday.

If there was alleged naughtiness going on with the cars, then how did they get through all 12 rounds of scruitineering, and parc ferme without anything suss being picked up?

Is it entirely possible that Erebus found a trick to get a performance advantage out their car that wasn't exactly kosher, but not actually outside the rules?

Quote from: skaifeman on February 01, 2024, 10:20:21 PMFord logos replaced with Ford Performance logos, and Bruce Stewart referred to the "Mobil 1 Optus Ford Performance Mustang."

Maybe I'm reading a little too into it, but it seems that Ford has either distanced themselves after last year's debacle, and just allowing the performance arm to justify their $$$ input?

Similarly as how Chevrolet Racing represents GM, rather than Chevrolet as a complete brand.

It's the same deal on their Mustang NASCARs.

They're just giving more of a push behind the Ford Performance brand.

I really think that Brodie and/or his management team really need to say something to tap this on the head.

The worst kept secret for us Antipodes through this year was that SVG was going to be the first full time Kiwi in NASCAR next year.

He signed a full time deal with the Pitbull Co owned Trackhouse Racing team back in September on a developmental deal which suggested that he'd be learning the craft of turning left in Trucks, Cup and Xfinity.

Trackhouse also signed up Zane Smith on a full time deal the following month which raised a few question marks about where SVG will slot in.

In the process of doing this, Trackhouse had their own dillema. You see, they've only got two full time cars with the seats filled by Daniel Suarez and Watermelon Man Ross Chadtain. Now they had to find seats for Zane Smith and SVG.

That little dillema is solved with Zane Smith on loan to Spire Motorsport and as for SVG?

Well, that was all announced today. SVG will be doing 7 Cup races and the full Xfinity Series on loan to Kaulig Racing.

"Kaulig Racing, but he's signed to Trackhouse?" you ask. It's a sensible move for SVG. Trackhouse co owner Justin Mark's has done a few races in the past with Kaulig as has Ross Chastain. Kaulig have shown the last few years that they are the Chevy team that gets the job done when the Childress and Jr Motorsport cars can't, and he will have a more than capable mentor and team mate in AJ Allmendinger.

The fridge manufacturer has some pretty deep roots in speedway in the US.

They have Speedcar engines too and they've been running in 410s over the past year with Chris Bell, Roths with McFadden and pretty much taggling along with wherever Aaron Reutzel goes.

The Las Vegas GP looks to be going as well as the last LVGP held nearby in the Caesars Palace car park.

FP1 had to canned after a manhole cover came loose, which postponed FP2 to 2am local time, which by then, was too late to have spectators at the track so they sent them home.

There's actually a great upside to Eastern Creek Speedway being closed, and that was Gunnedah Speedway announcing that their final meeting for the 23/24 season will feature Sprintcars.

It'll be nice to have a Sprintcar meeting here as there hasn't been one for years, and really, there should've been Sprintcar races out around here and Dubbo when PCR was in closure.

Quote from: muz on July 20, 2023, 03:21:17 PMOh boy, Jono Webb is back.

https://www.speedcafe.com/2023/07/20/webb-named-as-slade-co-driver-for-supercars-enduros/

This is really surprising to me. He'll probably keep it on the black stuff, hand it back in one piece...or get in a random biff on track and fence it.

Not a fan of him, thought PremiAir were making changes...but here we are.

It's quite an oddball choice, but with their other option being suspended by MA4 for the time being, and waiting for the superlicence thing to be sorted.

Even still.
