going through the schedule... wondering what exactly we're going to get in the 30 min B12 demonstration on Fri @ 21450? and Sat @ 1325 and 1700? guessing perhaps cars will have cameras on them doing laps for tv for over the weekend? or maybe we'll get lucky and have more than just the 1 f1 session after all?

https://www.speedcafe.com/2023/01/28/supercars-abandons-gen3-test-dates/

so the current testing schedule is now abandoned... some teams unhappy that some will get mileage while others won't... that is prob fair enough... (although from what I read of the test day it was a joke anyway? 60km testing ONLY available... so for the Melb teams, 3 hour drive up the Hume, unload, setup, drive 19 laps, pack up and drive 3 hours back home... seriously??

the alternative now is that they can test when they want with no mileage limits... talk is that Blanchards are ready to go... so if they want they can now go to Winton on the scheduled day and run around for 8 hours trying out whatever they want while the other teams are still struggling to get 1 car to a driveable state... and that is a fairer option? leaves me scratching my head...

how many weeks off is Newcastle?

Not going to share the video link... it is pretty brutal.

Car got sideways and crossed the track in the air hitting the top of the armco, then over it, hitting a camera tower (camera guy in hospital with 'light injuries') and then took out a pole... car is demolished and he sadly passed in the incident.

Condolences to his family and hopefully the camera person makes a full recovery.

Stay away from the snow folks. It seems to get the good ones.

I did think that too with it effectively taking Schui all those years ago.

do like the simple design look of the DJR one Marvin... not too much to clutter things up.

and the 2 Muzzies together is an interesting look... love the Optus driving lights but not the Shell... the Optus bonnet also gives it more of a GT feel over the DJR which I still like

=====

Percat Mobil is a nice look too!

While it may not have been specifically planned for that day they were certainly planning for something.

The more that comes out the weirder it seems to get... from https://www.skynews.com.au/australia-news/crime/ex-teacher-stacey-train-grabbed-gun-before-fleeing-as-her-romance-with-both-gunmen-nathaniel-and-gareth-train-is-detailed/news-story/6e405ed0b0552ba2629094b993114ad4

A gal living with her husband and her ex-husband (who are brothers) in a fortified shack set up as 'end of dayers', conspiracy theorists and on ice with a swag of guns.

Big difference between someone thinking their theory is fact and getting a group together to assassinate a bunch of people you don't know for the hell of it.
Sounds like you think this was planned.
I haven't read anywhere that that is what happened.

From what they hit their victims with there was some level of planning involved don't you think? Or do you carry that level of arsenal around the home? Reports are that it was large calibre weaponry that was used. Regardless of how much was planned it was 3 cold blooded murders (reports I heard said they were shot, and then killed up close and personal) and an attempt on 2 more at that time... plus I would think that they didn't go quietly when the police heavy squad came in for them.

I'm not one for violence at all... but I find myself hoping that the secondary arrival of police went in with extreme prejudice :'(

****ing conspiracy theorists - ****ing idiots

Reminds me of Walsh St Melbourne 1988

Gotta be so much more than that though Trev :(

It's a big step to go from a 'conspiracy theorist' and a 'respected teacher' to an assassin.
Where does "corrupt supercar officials" fit along the conspiracy theorist scale?

Nowhere in this thread
I thought it might be a step between conspiracy theorist and assassin.

But I guess everyone thinks their own theory is fact. Including the assassins

Sorry DJR, just not the place for that link in here
