outside of Giz who has the impressive ability to drive past (or push past) anyone on the track it is bloody close for the top Ford/GM cars

you don't want to knobble the whole field because 1 driver is outperforming everyone else... but at the same time they really aren't that far behind him most of the time... perhaps the rest need to take a leaf from his book and drive everything out there that is available every chance they get? (I have noticed more drivers seem to be doing this lately)

that only really leaves the option of a 'success ballast' but would that work with someone as determined as Giz? (or Scotty if he was still here? cream rises)

just home now from the hill.

well that was some race. very little 'action' which was good to see as it did have a feeling that there may have been more incidents than ended up occurring.

M2!! what can you say? pole position, relegated to last, and belts them for the win. heard it was a great pass at Skyline to get the lead in the last half hour (I was at the Chase watching them catch Slade and he did well to hold them off as long as he did)

got a tonne of photos as usual and they'll come up slowly to my fb photo page as I get through them.

and the mighty Zuks... there was one indiscretion but we still got 2/3/4 in class so we had a very happy team with 2 on the podium.

Was meant to be up there Sunday but looks like Covid will put a stop to that :(. First time I will miss the 6 Hour since it started. I guess it will be a Stan Sport trial for me.

Have a great weekend, hopefully the Suzukis have a good race!

bugger! :(

hope it doesn't hit you too hard. saw the new 'paint' in the flesh today and they really stand out.

wait til you see them on race day with the new wheels, even better!

Who's heading up this weekend?

I'll be there working my butt off. Official photographer for the 3 car Suzuki team which will be a blast!

Also will be shooting for the odd competitor here and there as well as looking after my HQ/Group N Vic guys.

If you see the dreads through the day yell out :)

I will be honest it is the first race that I have watched in full since the new regulations came into effect and I agree with you Sonic, to me they did nothing to promote what the FIA was attempting to achieve. The tire compounds having the split to create better racing did absolutely nothing. If I am honest I even nearly fell asleep part way through.

I was at the track and left half way through...

Glad to see that George didn't have a last lap 'issue' and drop to 4th.

Well I have now seen the new F1 and my single word description? Uninspiring.

Did absolutely nothing for me.

It's finally been called for the 21st.

Now they can actually start campaigning.

Well I'll be voting early... Supercars at Winton that weekend.

What was all of the white stuff on the track?  Styrofoam?  Hot dog wrappers?  It looks to me the barriers are dense foam rubber backed up by the tire bundles.  Where did the white pieces come from?

The Tecpro barrier blocks are plastic blocks filled with styrofoam and he destroyed one on impact.

I'm marshalling at Turn 5 so had a grandstand view of all 3 Tecpro hits on Thursday.

Made it to t5 today but didn't spy you PVDA? :( No doubt will catch up soon.

so should we penalise all of the ZBs because Giz is winning while the rest are running around the back.... and also while we just had 2 Mustangs completing the podium in the most recent race?

Funny you say that. Scotty was cleaning up with 888 up his clacker and yet they found it necessary to clip the Fords and improve the ZB. Strange huh?

agreed Albert. it was pretty pathetic.

Gee Phil, is your memory that bad? Seems the Mustang got penalised when Scott was winning everything, usually with the Opel's as the others on the podium.

yup, and my response was the same then... and I was disappointed with the Muzzies getting penalised because of one driver.

glad I'm not at Melb GP paying to see the F1 cars.... 15 minutes in to P3 and only 3 drivers have laps completed and other drivers not even bothering.

has the Porsche race been moved? thought it was supposed to be on now but there's just standard waffle from the comm box

Giz did it pretty easy.

2 x Groves for the podium!!

pretty disappointed for James and pretty disappointed in Chaz... yup, JC pushed him wide/off track and that is not good racing BUT to put someone in the fence is simply not on. perhaps Chaz needs to move to NASCAR if he wants to drive like that?
