Not surprised Brodie is doing well given his background. Amazingly close between everyone else which is great to see.

I'd say 0.037sec between the top Chev & Ford is about as close as one can realistically get.
But it's more fun to complain about it being unfair.
Is it? I'd feel pretty pathetic if I was still complaining.
Lol I guess my joke went about as well as the Shell cars in that qual session
your joke was understood. The comment wasn't directed at your post

Good to see how close they are thus far. The latest adjustments appear to have been good.

Can't believe drivers are still dealing with heat problems though

So are they adding more overall DF by adding to the front or removing from the rear and adding to the front as a rebalance?  The speedcafe & V8 Slueth sites contradict eachother a little in that regard.

with the Ford donk 60kg heavier,

A fully dressed Coyote is 5kg heavier than a fully dressed LS3 (street trim)  Wonder where the extra 55kg comes from in race trim?
yeah, incredibly hard to believe that one and not sure where it originated.

The centre of mass and overall mass should be easy to police for Supercars but nailing the aero will be the ongoing challenge.

I still feel the VCAT methodology is severely flawed given it doesn't test yaw where aero is most critical and they can't validate any meaningful CFD results with VCAT either. They needed to spend the coin on wind tunnel testing but again have only created problems by not doing so.

i thought smiting was removed?? or maybe i just haven't been able to see it with such a low post count
I think most people don't notice it because they aren't 12 and get triggered by it.

More intriguing design choices for Gen 3 then.  That's a very unfriendly fuel cell design because pumps fail quite regularly and need to be accessed and capacity checks are also done on the regular.

I don't mind it sitting high though as it adds another element of challenge to the setup and drivers when they are full of fuel vs empty which will also affect car balance more.

I hate to be a Karen, but nudging your car up against a fence, with people on the other side, then putting something on the gas pedal to keep the burn out going whist you get out of the car is beyond dangerous!

And well done Broc, good win!!

Bring on next year, just hope they get gen3 rights.
Wait.  Are you suggesting the car may have gone through the pit-wall?

Oh man what an awesome celebration from SVG.  Legend.

Great job by Feeney, he hasn't really shown that kind of genuine pace but to do it here is a pretty big deal as well.

Great way for the Holden badge to say goodbye.

Hmm SVG with a PLP.  But I thought there was undeniable bias favouring them?

Hmm this doesn't suit the narrative at all.

Someone young mentioned the other day, that ALL the good music has gone, the charts are now full of one hit wonders, very few seem to be able to produce the goods to keep at the front - Adele is one that comes to mind, but they are very few and far between
Mainstream may be pretty tedious however there's more music than ever being produced which isn't on the airwaves that is excellent.  With streaming services it's easy to see the depth and quality out there in every genre imaginable.

RIP to McVie, legend.

He would be snapped up by a WEC team in seconds without question.  In his only LMP2 outing he was matching the rapid and highly rated Nick Cassidy and had a Le Mans run lined up with the team as well before Covid shut it all down.

Without a doubt a relatively long and successful sportscar career would be feasible.

I could see NASCAR giving him a shot as well.

Time for success ballast?
Wouldn't be surprised if the discussions reared their head.  It works well in BTCC and has improved the racing there IMO.

They won't do anything for next season though as they'll need a season with the new cars to see where the dust settles.
