Quote from: AlbertM on February 06, 2024, 08:24:35 PMThe number is for the winning driver. Not the team.
Until there is anything official, BK is still the driver of the No1 Erebus Chev, so running No 1 today is OK.

Quote from: murph_fan51 on February 06, 2024, 03:48:40 PMNo different when DJR had a large 1 on 17 and 18. Not long later Supercars made them change it. They are the champion team so deserve some recognition. However it won't stay.

Wasn't allowed then, yet Erebus repeat the mistake. Beside DJR's gaff was a play on numbers. Not outright misrepresentation.
What is wrong with the No 1 on the Erubus car.  Currently they still are the championship winning team, BK is still contracted to them, at least till we hear different officially.

What makes people think that if Brodie were to drive this year, he would win any races. In 2023 Chevs were on the top side of parity and SVG was disheartened by GEN 3.  See what happened in the last two race meetings when the Fords had some kind aero parity, they won.  This year aero should be exactly the same.  888 won't have the distraction of SVG, and could be up to 4 Ford teams with the chance of winning.  I think Brodie knew what his chances this year would be like and pulled the pin so it wouldn't affect his chance with NASCAR.

Quote from: Troy01505 on September 30, 2023, 06:16:55 PM.052 is very low but if you're drink driving, you're a bloody idiot.

The pathetic job he and his moronic mates have done with Gen 3 could easily lead to excessive drinking. I'd be drowning in my sorrows and drinking to forget too
I think it was over 3 times that at .171.

Quote from: muz on July 30, 2023, 02:43:01 AMGotta say with Cam Waters, he was hot under the collar there. Unfortunately for him it was an unsafe release. You can't pull out on a car entering their pit box. Probably half a second earlier and he would have been fine.

It is only an unsafe release is 888 weren't the team releasing their car into traffic.
From a video circulating a few sites today.  From about 1.30 into the video.  No consistency with the stewards, especially when 888 is involved.

So you are happy if Feeny was told to yield, but you say it sucks that SVG was told to yield.  Differently a SVG fan.

Maybe just all the Chevs are equal now and 888 is having trouble being competitive with a level playing field.

Am I? JW is the boss of the homologation team, it is his job to make these types of changes even at the last minute. He "is all for parity".  Yet still complaining and now claims the change helps the GM. So why has he got the knives out for Ford. Ford brought its issues up months ago. It was Supercars that dragged the chain and claiming there were no issues.
The Ford boss is still complaining, even now after the cars are signed off & on the grid... He needs to shut the f&^^ up & get on with racing!
You must remember that the only manufacture still involved in Supercars is Ford.  You would think that Supercars would be bending over backwards to ensure they still stay a part of the series.  All this parity will happen again when GM dumps the Camaro at the end of next year and the red side needs another racecar.

with the Ford donk 60kg heavier,

A fully dressed Coyote is 5kg heavier than a fully dressed LS3 (street trim)  Wonder where the extra 55kg comes from in race trim?

DeWalt will look amazing on the Camaro... can't wait to seen that

Never been more excited for new liveries
It will look like Bumble Bee with a few DeWalt stickers.

Would they be in the mind to do more Ford conversions ala what they're doing with the Silverado? Maybe even an eye as the Ford homologation team given there's now a Penske sized hole in the market.

With the Ford announcement that they're bringing the F150 here next year and converting them to RHD and selling through dealers, my money is on Walkinshaw to be the partner in this. Nice tie in, get Ford factory support plus a deal to convert F150s
Walkinshaw will have nothing to do with F150 conversion.  "The F-150 will be remanufactured to right-hand drive by RMA Automotive at a facility in Mickleham, Victoria."

Anyway, you can take Percat and the WAU sponsorship package with you to Ford. We'll happily keep SVG and Feeny, Brown and Kostecki.
Maybe WAU saw an oppurtuntiy to make some money by using a vehicle that is currently available for sale in Australia and is recognisble by the Australian puplic. The Camoro(which wouldn't be recognisable by most of the Australian general public) is about to become extinct in the car world and is from a company that is is virtually exticnt in Australia.  It appears the only people who(or will be crying} are the GM fan boys who look backwards and not forward like WAU.

Maybe the Camaro might not be economic way to go.  It is a well known fact that at this stage the Camaro will be dropped by GM in 2024.  So the Camaro as a racecar might be around for 2, possibly 3 years.  So whats around after that, at least the Mustang, as a consumer available vehicle, will be around for years to come.

How many of the Supercar drivers are anti vaxxers, I think we are about to find out.
