Dunlop Super2 Series / Re: 2022 Season

Young Zak Best did well on the weekend, he seemed to have the race pace over most of them, but the thing didn't  hook up as well in Qualifying.

The Triple 8 boys surprised me, they had good speed.

Matt Payne and Tyler Everingham were both speedy as well.

I don't have any real issue with him being replaced.

It's something that happens in multiple sports if an official makes a mistake, especially one that has huge ramifications.

I also don't get all the hate on Lewis and Toto. I think they still have every right to be annoyed at the way the whole situation was handled. It was the wrong decision, and it altered the result of the race and the championship.

Please note, I don't support Red Bull or Mercedes. McLaren and Williams are my teams.

same here that I am a 'racing fan' rather than a team/driver fan... and as such I was kind of glad for the way the decision went considering how some of the decisions were made earlier in the season.

It can rightly be said that the decision in the final race had its bearing on who won the race (and therefore the championship).... but it can also be said that the decisions made earlier in the season created the scenario where the drivers were both in the race to win the title.

You can't hate on one decision if you do not equally come down on the decisions that were in your favour that should not have been. (But of course they are all our own judgements!)

I thought that RB handled the decisions against them in a far more upright way than Merc did, but Merc really only had the one decision go against them that I can think of (the final one)

Which decisions earlier in the season are we talking about, because there are a couple that I don't agree with either.

Yeah there were quite a few that became 'discussion points'... I was thinking mostly along the Merc/RB lines...

but then again we are talking about a racing series where the driver doesn't have to race inside the lines anywhere other than Monaco really aren't we....

Yeah they really need to implement a racing room rule, similar to what we have in Supercars. Try and promote more side by side running, without the outside car backing out through fear of being driven off the track because the other car 'had the line'

It's better for Indycar fans in Australia for it to be on Stan than Foxtel. Stan is owned by Channel 9, so it opens up the possibility for some races (eg... Indy 500) to be shown on FTA is ratings work out ok.

Stan is worth getting in 2022. Live Indycar alongside live WRC and live WEC and Le Mans

If it was Stan Sport on it's own for $10 a month, I'd jump at it. But I don't need Stan itself as well.

I tried watching round 1, but it's not appealing to me. There were more laps under caution than actually racing.

I don't mind a bump to pass, but expect it back.

I'm not a fan of intentionally wrecking the other bloke though, that's when it gets a bit out of control.

So far the racing has been good. 3 different tracks (Including LA) and 3 good races.

Chahda's biggest thing for me is consistency. He has improved pace wise, but still seems to make a few mistakes.

It should be another good year with a big Super 2/Super 3 grid for round 1.

Who has done all the Liveries?
Pete did WAU, 888 and BRT; Scott (ssMEDIA) did Erebus and PremiAir; Nick for MSR and T18. Are Tickford inhouse now, Nick?

Yeah Tickford are in house.

I actually really like the Percat livery. It's a good evolution on last year with the white over the bonnet and roof.
The silver is a good secondary colour, as it's not over powering and is a nice touch.

We've had the 'new' audio spark up the final race again.

For me, there's no denying Max is the rightful champ, but there is also no denying that Lewis got ripped off.
There's been too many rules not followed for me to keep Masi in his position.

Dunlop Super2 Series / 2022 Season

Who's going to step up now that Feeney is gone?

Zak Best is my pick, the only one who seemed to keep up over the full season, and was only getting stronger as the year went on.

I believe SuperCheap did an update recently on the logo, it looks good too.

The car looks good. I'm still not the biggest fan of the white void on the front bar, but what can you do when sponsors have requirements.
