So I was able to salvage the introductory post and most of the liveries released in the original 2021 Media Centre.

Feel free to continue posting news and updates for your teams below.

Welcome to the 2021 V8CFL Media Centre.

I feel like we've been a bit too strict in previous years regarding number of liveries, orientation, backgrounds etc.

This year its a free reign. As long as your post is in line with the forum rules (including image size etc) then post away.

Use this thread for media releases before, during and after events. Announce your drivers for this season, drive swaps throughout the year, celebrate your results, lament the bad days, give insights into how your team is run. Even post rumours or silly-season speculation.

Post your season livery/ies. Post your one-off or round-by-round designs. If your team is supporting a local charity/cause for a certain round or a national day that corresponds with the date of an event, share the special one-off design.

As this is all fantasy, you can be as outrageous and creative as you like in regards to your designs. Your sponsors don't have any say in the designs. It's all up to you!

If your team has changed manufacturer during the off season, or your car has had aerodynamic adjustments, announce it here. Lets bring the fun and fantasy back to this thread.

We all need a bit of fun these days.

Media Centre is now open!

A Pegasus Flys In

Ushering in a new era at Ain't Care Motorsports, is long-time minor backer Exxon Mobil, upping its sponsorship to naming rights.
It forms a reunion between Mobil and new import manufacturer GM Speciality Vehicles, harking back to the late 1990's and early 2000's of the TWR run Holden Racing Team.
The team will again roll out a fleet of ZB Commodore's, ensuring they use all the spare parts before seasons end.

Team owner, Daniel, was stated saying:
"We'll run the ZB again this year. With Holden closing down it gives us a good opportunity to flesh out the spare parts bins, as well as grabbing some bodies off Gumtree from those unenthused with their FWD Commodore's."
With the amount of talent in the Ain't Care driving ranks, Daniel suggests second-hand panels likely won't be needed.
"I'm confident we have the squad to get the job done this year, and not just in the enduros (winning the 2020 Enduro Cup). The only issue we have are those two clowns Waters and Mostert running into each other."
The squad is comprised of 2nd and 3rd place getters (last year) Waters and van Gisbergen, along with Mostert, de Pasqual, Percat, Winterbottom, Courtney, Fullwood and Hazelwood.
Despite 3 Championship titles and 4 Bathurst wins between them, no one is safe from the chopping block, with mid-season adjustments possible.

The team can now unveil the striking new livery, incorporating a series of blues and a flat grey.
After running the Mission:Winnow liveried cars for two years, Mobil and GMSV find themselves predominant on the flanks of the ZB, whilst new sponsor Biante and a partnership with Walkinshaw, are welcomed to the outfit.

The cars are set to hit the track tomorrow, with Practice 1 of the Bathurst 500 starting at 12:00pm.

TAA Performance Signs New Sponsorship Deal

TAA Performance have today signed a new deal with Ford Performance becoming naming rights sponsor for the remainder of the season.

This new signing marks Ford's official return to motorsport in Australia with its Ford Performance brand.

"It is an honor to have Ford Performance onboard as naming right sponsor, we have been working very hard with them on our race program" Said TAA Performance team boss Alex

With the TAA Performance Mustang being the only car in the field running a 6cyl turbocharged engine it has proven itself up against the traditional V8 powered cars.
A string of podium finishes as well as 2 race wins the TAA Mustang currently sits in 2nd position 62 points off the lead.

A striking new livery has been unveiled. The team have also welcomed new sponsors in Castrol Edge and Haas Automation which join Holley EFI, Precision Turbos, Jetpac Dezign and Ford Motorcraft.

Return of the green-eyed monster
It has been 20 years since Craig Lowndes' famous green-eyed monster livery made its debut at the 2001 Bathurst 1000. To celebrate this, the Kalyara Racing Team created its own version as a tribute to the original AU Falcon. The livery was planned to be released as a one-off ahead of the 2021 Bathurst 1000, originally scheduled for October 10. However, following the changes to the season calender, the team has decided to run the livery for the Sydney quadruple-header as well as Bathurst.

The team currently sits fifth in the V8CFL standings, 118 points from the lead, with two wins highlighting the season so far.

"I just plucked her in first, gave it some jandal, f**k yeah!"

BOMBSHELL RUMOURS SURROUNDING CENTRAL COAST TEAM

There are major rumours circulating in the pitlane at Sydney Motorsport Park ahead of the third event regarding the Central Coast-based The Arrow Mazda Motorsport.

Late in the 2020 season there was speculation the team would leave the series at the end of that season after a run of difficult seasons. These rumours were ultimately quashed when the team announced their intentions to continue in 2021 running Mazda6 GL Supercars for the 7th consecutive - and likely final - time before the reveal of the new model.

However, sources have revealed there are talks that the team, who has been around in numerous guises since the inaugural V8Central Fantasy League season in 2008, will withdraw at season's end. After winning the first Privateer's Cup thirteen years ago, the team has had a number of lacklustre seasons with a with a peak of 2nd in 2017, struggling to revive the results the team was founded on.

The Central Coast-based team who first ran Ford Falcons - and a Ford Mondeo - from 2008 to the collapse of the original V8Central Fantasy League has had a difficult 2021 with just two race wins and only two other top 5 finishes. The team has an average finish of just 8th position.

Mazda increased their partnership for 2021 with the team name changing to The Arrow Mazda Motorsport. The withdrawal of Mazda would be in line with the 2021 IMSA season being the last for the Japanese manufacturer.

Team principal TheArrow was unavailable for comment on this matter when approached.

If The Arrow Mazda Motorsport were to withdraw it would see the famous #57 not reserved and an option for any other team to use in 2022.

With just three events remaining - including the Repco Bathurst 1000 - there is limited time for The Arrow Mazda Motorsport to sort out and announce their 2022 plans.

The Arrow Mazda Motorsport Sports a A Glossy Gold Livery for Bathurst 1000

The Arrow Mazda Motorsport has arrived at the Repco Bathurst 1000 in a tweaked livery. The iconic Soul Red Crystal donning the side of the famous #57 has been switched out for a glossy gold.

"We've decided to show our gratitude and appreciation for the support Mazda has provided to us. They've been with us for seven seasons and, while some have been difficult, the support Mazda has given is immeasurable." said TheArrow.

"We're extremely grateful."

The decision to run this livery has ramped up rumours of the team departing at seasons end. When pressed about that rumour, TheArrow was quiet.

"We've definitely had some difficult seasons. A few wins here and there, we came second in 2017 but apart from that it's not been easy. But we are still looking at our options for 2022."

"We have been in the V8CFL since the inaugural season in 2008. We won the Privateers Cup in 2008, but since then we've really struggled to replicate those results."

"But teams have peaks and troughs. Maybe we peaked early... Gen3 is only a year away. The new Mazda6 is likely a year away too. But it's a big expense to undertake if it ends up with the same results we have now."

"We have a lot to think about over the off season."

"But the car looks sick."

What an eventful 2021 season

A hostile takeover, a topsy turvey season with some good wins but great consistency leading us to the championship by the smallest of margins.

These bears have built a reputation on fear and legend, they aren't used to praise and adulation so they got a bit out of control at the celebration party, sadly a couple staff didn't make it, also even more frightening is seeing what jackasses these bears were on the sauce lol.

It made for a very easy take back of control of what will revert to Shogun Autosport in 2022, i know these little deviants weakness now.

In some capacity i might keep them around as security to guard the secrets of the new car, but i think first they need to go to AA.

Congrats to all in the championship for getting through another trying year, lets make 22 bigger and better.

Cheers.
