How many podiums this year, with any one of their 4 cars?

Teams Championship means **** all these says, thanks to rule change by Skaife et el

Erebus should have pit garage 1, but the ****ers changed the rules at the 11th hour, ****ing Skaife has his fingerprints all over this

Yes, BJR did get 3rd, but they also got 12th with their second team, the last of the 2 car teams.

I would like to see them do a Tickford, but maybe they won't have four car allocations in 2014 anyway.

Why do you care if Erebus have pit garage #1 if the Teams Championship
Means **** all?

BJR had a solid year with Heimgartner and Fullwood. I reckon they should keep on going.

LG

Barry Ryan's alternative seems better. The winning team keeps the no 1 spot and from 2 onwards they fight each round for the rest.

do you actually follow Supercars. For a long time, which ever team won the teams championship got allocated Pit 1, there is some thinking that there is an advantage having Pit 1

Obviously 888 and DJR have had  a monopoly on it. Technically Erebus should have it next year, but Skaife et el changed the rules in the week before the Adelaide 500, giving the teams **** all notice. Betty Klemnko has been very voal about the 11th hour change, and has questioned "why now, why not give the Teams 12 months notice" and I agree

It was obvious 888 weren't gonna get it so they did a rule for no obvious reason. I think it was Skaife et el being sooky coz 888 didn't win it again

Again, do you actually follow Supercars, or just pop in and gob off then **** off?

I'm aware of the new rule. You were telling BJR to give up, which you conveniently ignore in your response to me.

Do you watch Supercars? Or just read news, forums and make strange statements?

100% agree with this.

1st put bay gives the team the advantage of getting their car out of a stop before everyone else because they can see exactly when each car is released.

Since they don't issue big dollar prize money for the winning driver or team, they should give them more than a big **** you for winning the 2nd most wanted trophy in the sport!

Initially, I was skeptical.

However, I have come to realise that the number 1 pit position for a winning team is the same principle as having use of the number 1 for the champion driver (should he, or she, wish to use it).

I agree too. Gives a good incentive to the top team.

The winning driver doesn't get an advantage for the following year. Why should the winning team?

Skaife has done a serious number on you, Trev. You (and the rest of us) have literally 0 knowledge of how/who made that decision.

Yes he sits on the RACE and Supercars Board, along with 3 and 5 others respectively.
The Supercars Commission (headed by our very own Abu Dhabi legend, Michael Masi, and I believe a representative from each team) voted favourably, which then make recommendations to the Board.

The numbers win out in the end, how about democracy eh?

And further FYI - I wonder why Skaife would be so bias to 888, when 888 themselves didn't want it ;).

Quote from: AlbertM on November 26, 2023, 11:40:52 PMAfter race 28 today my opinion of Shane remains at the same low level, when he off loaded Randall because he's having a temper tantrum. Even Skaife cracked and removed his lips from SVG's ass for a second.

Not that I have an issue with it, he also embarrassed his team with his phantom car issues.

SVG is SVG, he's always been prickly.
You could tell his heart was out of it ever since that weekend in Chicago. Bathurst was the only weekend he seemed to perk up for.

His move on Randle was unsportsmanlike no doubt
The move sucked and doesn't really belong in Supercars, but partly because the cars are fragile. One bump and Randle probably has steering damage and has to nurse it home. Whereas if SVG goes and makes the same kind of moves on Americans in NASCAR it'll be top tier entertainment and I look forward to seeing it. ;D
