Any thoughts what retro Holden livery WAU may go for in Adelaide? Would be good to see something from the early 2000s but might be too hard with the sponsors.

It's gotta be a Red Baron. They've done the 90's to death and anything post 2007 was beyond their glory years.
Please be a 01/02 or 05/06.

I have a thought they did do an 01/02 retro before?
How cool would the '04 be with the black wheels.
Would also like 2013 retro with the gold wheels but that might be too recent.

From memory, they've done:
1990 - Bathurst 2010
1995 - Pye 2017
1997 - Townsville 2015
1999 - Sandown 2019
2007 (HSVDT) - Sandown 2017
2008 - Sandown 2018

888 to also run a tribute livery:

I like it Nick, I've always been a big fan of the one main colour over the front and a different main colour down the side.

So much better than the last one with the Al spec green.

They could go with 1987. That'll be very polarising.

The base design looks more like the Honda tribute Red Bull F1 ran last year than a Holden tribute

Haha. That is very iconic but probably more so for HSV than Holden.

1st ever Holden to win Adelaide?

Brazen

That 888 livery is really disappointing... hopefully WAU do better

billybanana

I quite like the 888 livery but I'm struggling to see any relevance to Holden specifically.

stevo qld

I think it looks alright and it is in traditional Holden White.

The Holden script on the nose appears to be an almost undetectable light grey on the white background.

Tribute??

Iconic for HSV? HSV (Walkinshaw) and Brock did not get along, especially when they stole the HDT deal from them. HSV had nothing to do with the '87 Mobil car.

I like the 888 car. Does have Red Bull/Honda vibes about it, but it works as a 'special' livery.

The Red Bull car certainly looks like a 'special' on off livery, but I don't get any holden vibes from it at all. Unless you start zooming in on it, you'll struggle to see anything holden besides the badge.

now THIS, is a great tribute livery.

It's good, but its been done before:

Bit of a let down if I'm honest.
