It'd be really interesting if we could see how many smites each user has handed out! On some sites such as Stack Exchange, it costs you points to downvote things.... not a bad idea.

Actually, until this string, I thought that the smite/applaud were the province of the admin.

I would prefer to see it scrapped, then we wouldn't have rubbish topics like this one. It seems a bit like two schoolboys having a pissing competition.

I've read all the replies and check the scores and it all looks fine to me.

As per the other advice - ignore it if you want, focus on it if you must.

I treat it as an "indicator" of what the person is like on the forums...
