Not to stray off topic for very long, but whatever happened to Briony Ingerson?  She was doing dirt speedway stuff with Neylon and then had her "black face" incident.  Has she ever turned up anywhere else?

Seems she's behind the scenes working as a producer according to this.

She was on the 7plus coverage of the Australian Sprintcar Championship

Hmm, perhaps I wheely spoke too soon there.

:'( starting to really wonder where it will all end?

they lose their '2nd' driver to 888
they lose their '1st' driver to an undisclosed internal conflict
they lose their major sponsor
they lose 2 further sponsors
they lose their 'media face/managing director'

all in the space of a few months.

starting to make Krakatoa look like it was just a little ripple in the ocean!

Leaving or pushed?

Leaving before the real (blip) hits the fans, or pushed for losing drivers and sponsors?

I think it is a real shame that this happens to Betty K who has put so much into racing even before she entered Supercars.

On the other hand, one way to achieve parity is to have top drivers leave the category.

Interesting thought, and I tend to agree, she could be the scapegoat for all the sponsors leaving. But you really do need to question, who had the final say in the approach - Barry and Betty or Shannen?

Only two of them got on national TV to shed a tear about the situation, they must be the aggrieved parties.

Sleuth suggests she'll take a hiatus from Motorsport, and unrelated to the Kostecki drama:

Either way, Barry can't say that everyone behind the garage doors are still the same, now.

the stupidity of the year rolls on...

Sandown date now changed and a ton of pissed off people who had booked/paid for holidays and are now out of pocket and can't get to the event at all...

I am among them... first VicState had to change their date to not clash with the now non-existant event (good work VicState)... as much as it sucked for them it was good for motorsport in Vic as it meant that all the clashes sorted themselves out... the 500 moving a week has now created another clash...

great work by all involved... NOT!

So what's the real behind the scenes story with Percat going sour at WAU only 6 months in but sticking around for another 18 anyway?

Bloopy

No idea if there is much of a story, but 18 months ago could just be when the reality of finding himself slogging away in the bottom half of the championship set in. Maybe it was as simple as WAU's methods of setting up a car just not working for him.
