The Sydney Sprintcar and Speedway season has been thrown into turmoil once again with the latest breaking news confirmed in a post by the Sprintcar Association of NSW that "Unfortunately the season, which was due to begin on September 23 at Eastern Creek Speedway (ESC) has been cancelled.

The entire SEASON    OMG, there was no need to kill PCR to begin with (stupid trainline could have been easily moved), then far too long to build the new venue and now this ... that's a great way to kill the sport completely.

There's actually a great upside to Eastern Creek Speedway being closed, and that was Gunnedah Speedway announcing that their final meeting for the 23/24 season will feature Sprintcars.

It'll be nice to have a Sprintcar meeting here as there hasn't been one for years, and really, there should've been Sprintcar races out around here and Dubbo when PCR was in closure.
