Nope. I know the name but no idea who the guy was or what he related to.

And even after a quick scroll through the Wiki page I still don't know anything about him.

A "beach bum" singer.  Known for his laid back music.  Many a Jimmy Buffett party has been thrown over this way.  Hawaiian shirts, sandals, fruity drinks.  Thought he might have been big over by you, too.
