Last year we had 19 posts in the Media Centre.  This year we already have 21.  Great job of promoting, Arrow!

Well, I know what you mean.  I have the lead overall on V8 Central for number of posts & topics started but it is very misleading for I run the V8CFL.  Many new posts throughout the season.

Okay, members of the league, the 2024 V8CFL is now up and underway.  Rosters are locked down for Round 1 at Bathurst.  We will have 10 teams this year.

The Tournament will commence with the AGP (Round 2).  There will be two divisions of five.  Teams will be placed/seeded based upon the Round 1 results.  All odd finishing teams (1-3-5-7-9) will be in one division and all even finishing teams (2-4-6-8-10) will be in the other division.  This alignment will occur post Bathurst.  I will come up with a schedule for the 2024 season matchups soon.

I thank you all for signing up and miss the former members who did not sign up.

Good luck to all in 2024!

I just went with the ZL1-1LE as that is was the exact model homologated by Supercars.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness, skaifeman.  Cleaned up it is.

Gents, the braintrust at V8 Central Fantasy League headquarters have come up with a V8CFL Tournament schedule for 2024.  The matchups are listed.  We just have to wait until after Round 1 to see who is where for we always forego Round 1 with respect to the V8CFL Tournament.

It actually worked out great, too.  We have 10 members this year and with the 2024 Supercars calendar there will be nine Regular Season V8CFL Tournament matchups.  This equates to everyone racing everyone else once.  The last two rounds will be the playoffs/knockout rounds.

Last season, Bump and Run Racing with Troy01505 took the title.  This season, with new sponsorship Troy01505's squad will be Bundaberg Rum Racing.  Still fielding a Chevrolet Camaro.

The Waters choice seems disastrous.

Yeah.  What the heck is up with that?  Randle was very well for most of the weekend, especially Race 2.  I can see where the spindle breaking on Cam's car took him down in Race 1, but Race 2?  No sign of him.

As for the weekend tally, give me a good night's sleep and about 18 hours from now and I will have the results up.  Remember, I am on a delayed watching basis over here.

As always thank you for running this league

You are quite welcome, Sir.

Now on to business!  The Round 1 Results are posted.  There were no post-race points issues as per CAMS.

Race 1 Results:
1 TGI Racing / Professor / Chevrolet Camaro
2 Super Seven Racing Aotearoa / formerlyHolden51 / Toyota Camry SX
3 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang

Race 2 Results;
1 Kalyara Racing Team / Kytabu / Ford Focus ST
2 TGI Racing / Professor / Chevrolet Camaro
3 R&K Motorsports / mikeamerica84 / Ford Mustang

TGI Racing is the points leader after Round 1.  The benchmark for all of us to chase.  And good for Professor.  He has had a bit of a drought in the V8CFL of late.

Congrats to Kye, too, for his Race 2 win.

PLEASE check your point totals for accuracy.  If a mistake is going to be made it is going to made early on before I "get in the tallying groove" so to speak.

Next up - the AGP.  We already have one roster change in the que.

Also, the V8CFL Tournament alignment has been completed and that starts at the AGP.

Always the optimist you are!

Cam had a terrible weekend, so did Will Davo and Andre.  Plenty of time to stir the mix up and get back in it.
