Only Qualy has run so far. Shootout to come:

Feeney
Reynolds
Payne
Brown
Fullwood
Wood
Waters
Hill
Golding
de Pasquale

The most interesting point so far this weekend is that Wood definitively has the measure over Mostert.
He's been on his heels (and beating him) for the past few rounds, but this weekend he's the indisputed WAU performer.

The supports have been entertaining.
Big accident involving Morris and Johnson in the utes, and now a Mini has front flipped (as gentle as you could think) in the sand at the bowl.

Feeney nabs pole from Waters. Wouldn't mind a bet on Waters off the line though, the racing line has had the jump in the lionshare of the categories I've seen.

I'll eat my words above, Feeney got the hole shot.

Safety car now comes at a fortuitous time for some. Payne and Courtney benefit massively - freshest tyres and best track position.
Should be a great finish. Go JC!

Interlocking rims play their part again. Surprised Golding got a penalty, he seemed pretty far up and continually overlapped before and during the entry of the corner.
Unless the data trace shows he broke ridiculously late?
Watching the replay, it seems Golding's steering arm was already broken before the secondary contact, so not sure it was entirely his fault.

When will the commentatory realise this stage of the "new" chamipionship the leader means jack.. We should be focusing on 8-9-10-11-12-13-ish.

Pretty good racing I thought.

And God are GM screwed next year, might as well save your money!

Agree on this. They could be making this way more exciting.

James Golding, a bit desperate?

ALWAYS watch the pack!  That's where the V8CFL watches.  I bet Helix is throwing up right now.  He had Anton and Golding.

Great round.  Hate to see it go to a street race next time.
