There are 10 cars currently. WAU leave and take 2 which are relaced by 888 which makes 10

Did you miss the part where Grove could be off to Toyota? If that is true that would make 8 Mustangs.

I did. Remind me not to trust Scott Pye.

Maybe hsv8fan or even you should have lead with that.  :)

Scotty often says things a little skewed, generally historical facts (results etc). It often feels like he's being critical of Supercars purely for the sake of it.

Kudos to Ford. At the start of last year we were saying that the Chev teams are thin, 888, Erebus (pre-implosion), and then a few steps down to the rest.
Ford will essentially have 4 of the top 5 teams in the series come 2026, and the lion share of proven drivers.

Will be interesting to see what teams create a data alliance with 888. BRT immediately jumps to mind.

I don't know why but I want to see MSR switch.  Although unlikely given 10 is Fords limit.

Grove could go yet...
As I said earlier, it's great and all that 888 has moved to Ford for the current Ford teams, but if GM puts a homolgation sized contract out there, most teams (not all) up and down pit lane would apply.

I don't know if they would. Who realistically has the workforce and infrastructure to facilitate that job...and the track record of developing the cars.

AlbertM

You can't say that Stevo will have your head, skaifeman.  ;D  With 888 on the blue side a switch from Ford may not be wise. Toyota are coming.

I'm guessing if GM had that sized contract, 888 wouldn't have left.

It's all a moot point if GM pulls the pin anyway.

Slade to MSR with Percat. I thought he would've landed a better gig - DJR, Tickford, Erebus and Grove. It does bring MSR up a peg or two come Bathurst.

I agree was surprised that Slade didn't get a better drive.

Erebus should probably get the homologation gig but as mentioned not sure there will be much (if any) money in it from GM.

muz

I think Slade wants to drive with Percat, Stones, James Rosenberg-backed operation more out of personally working with mates/people he likes rather than chasing the big team drives.

Great development for MSR.
