Just completed watching the Gold Coast round.

I realize that WAU used the wrong refueling gantry for Chas in Race 2 and have not seen a stewards summary for the race, but what was the big deal?  There was no mandatory fuel drop for this race.  Nothing has to be measured.  Now if they didn't get enough fuel in the tank, that is their problem but I see the gantry usage as a no issue.  At least they used the one in THEIR pits.

And man.... had Brodie not flipped his lid early in the season, with the way Erebus is running, he might just be right in the mix right now.

Erebus have proven that last year wasn't just a flash in the pan. They're a fast operation, no doubt.
It's a shame that they need to re-build every 4-5 years.

But did it have enough fuel in it??

It didn't, they ran it as long as they could before coming in again.

So let me see if I have this straight:

WAU hooked Woods's fuel nozzle into Mostert's car.  No fuel went into it.  Hence the later needed third pit stop for Chas.

But then they are fined $2500.  For what?  What breach was it?  It is not like they altered Mostert's car by putting Woods's tyres on it, or fuel in it.

But there you have it.

Both Barry Ryan and Betty Klimenko report that external interference caused the rift with Brodie.

QuoteSo, external people created those wounds. And it will probably never get talked about, unless Brodie wants to. But I'm not going to talk about what happened, that's none of anybody's business.
