So Perez is finally let go by Red Bull. Word is Lawson will take his seat.
With Red Bull not being as dominant as before, it may remain a poisoned chalice. Let's hope not for Liam's sake.

The lad has a bucket load of confidence and skill.

He is a racer and should do well

Certainly hope that's the case Dixpat. Max needs someone to challenge him, it's been pretty easy going since DR.

Spa will now become a track that is one season on, one season off. F1 is seriously booming at the moment, everyone wants a piece.
Shame it's come at the cost of a classic circuit, probably for some tarmac'd borefest with 15 people in the stands.

Colapinto to Alpine as a Test and Reserve driver:

Reads like Doohan needs to get his act together, I reckon by mid-season if he hasn't performed, Colapinto will be driving.
Not the best environment for Doohan to debut in, but F1 has always been a pressure-cooker.

hmm... have I tuned in to the wrong channel (as poor as it is with my dodgy net)... thought I'd have a look at the Porka's when I got home from work but have ended up with just some interviews... are they not on the coverage or do I need to switch channels? LOL... clearly I know what I'm on about :P

Probably our biggest chance of an Australian win at the Australian GP since Webber.

Do we want to take bets at which round the Papaya rules fall apart?
It's looking like a McLaren year - however Albert Park is always a bit of a weird one and not a indicator for the season.

Well that was one hell of a race...

One crashed out on the sighting lap...

One crashed out not long after the start...

One crashed out under SC...

Few more incidents... and then the finish... rain at the end... almost had the 2 MacLarens out... took Piastri out of the race (but great comeback for points after being stuck on the grass)...

Yeah the rest of the year prob won't be so good but at least we got one good race in to watch.

Bummer Oscar couldn't keep it on the black stuff, and a bigger bummer he's given away so many points for the drivers title.
Interesting that all weekend Zac Brown was saying that McLaren will allow them to race, and as soon as Oscar ranges up on the back of Lando they ask to hold position.

Yuki replaces Lawson at Red Bull. See how he goes in the cauldron.

It is quite a sobering thought when one feels that Yuki Tsunoda is the guy we need in our car.

I consider that they have done Lawson a big favor. the RB seems, to me, more consistent and less peaky and the Bed Bull number 2 pressure evaporates.

Tsunoda will probably be flicked at the end of the year when Honda support ceases.

If Lawson can't score lots of points in an RB, he may also be flicked.

add to that Verstappen to possibly move to Mercedes.
If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

Always a rumour lingering about Colapinto coming into the Red Bull fold.
It seems Red Bull is a house of cards at the moment.

Perez struggled with his car for a couple of years.  Max kept them afloat in the meantime, but now he seems at best to be keeping his head above water.  I think Red Bull is slowly dropping whether it is their own doing or McLaren and Ferrari catching them.

Either way, the second Red Bull car will be a tall order to straighten out, but if you have a second tier driver that wants a shot...... hey, give it to him.

As madbugger put it, it makes you wonder if Max is going to stick around next year.

As the World Turns.
