Welcome to the 2022 V8 Central Fantasy League.  We are hoping for a good, fairly steady season.

Each V8 Central Fantasy League member will choose the allotted number of cars per group and provide a Car 97 tip each round. You will also choose a car manufacturer for your team

PLEASE USE THE 2022 TEAM REGISTRATION THREAD TO DO THIS.

Group A – Choose 2:

6  Ford        Cam Waters
11 Ford        Anton De Pasquale
17 Ford        Will Davison
25 Holden      Chaz Mostert

Group B – Choose 2:

2  Holden      Nick Percat
5  Ford        James Courtney
9  Holden      Will Brown
18 Holden      Mark Winterbottom
88 Holden      Broc Feeney
99 Holden      Brodie Kostecki

Group C – Choose 2:

3  Ford        Tim Slade
14 Holden      Bryce Fullwood
20 Holden      Scott Pye
34 Holden      Jack Le Brocq
35 Holden      Todd Hazelwood

Tiebreaking groups – Choose in ORDER OF FINISH:

Group D1 – Choose 2 IN ORDER:

8  Holden      Andre Heimgartner

26 Ford        David Reynolds
55 Ford        Thomas Randle
56 Ford        Jake Kostecki

Group D2 – Choose 3 IN ORDER:

4  Holden      Jack Smith
22 Holden      Chris Pither
76 Holden      Garry Jacobson
96 Holden      Macauley Jones

Tipping Comp - Choose 1-24 weekly:

97 Holden      Shane van Gisbergen

Manufacturer - Choose 1:

Open to ANY type of proper model/make for our series and not limited to what is currently run, that being Ford or Holden.

Throughout the season:

A maximum of FOUR car changes (total) will be allowed in Groups A through C.

A maximum of TWO reshuffling changes (total) will be allowed in Groups D1 and D2.  These are our two tiebreaking groups.

An UNLIMITED number of SVG tip changes for positions 1-24 will be allowed, but only tip one per round.

Changes can be made at any time. For all rounds except the AGP at Albert Park, car changes made prior to Midnight Thursday Sydney, NSW time prior to the upcoming weekend round will go into effect for that round. Changes after Midnight Thursday, Sydney, NSW time, will go into effect for the next round. Sydney, NSW time, will be used for the V8CFL with respect to time stamps for all rounds.  Due to the AGP round qualifying occurring on Thursday of that week, all changes for that round must be made prior to Midnight Wednesday, Sydney, NSW time.

Car changes must be made within the same group.

Points are scored by cars – not drivers. For example, if you have Car 25 on your team, Chaz Mostert is that driver to start the season with. If he vacates Car 25, for whatever reason, and another driver takes over, you will still have Car 25 on your team. If Mostert subsequently starts driving Car 44, and you do not have Car 44 on your team, you do not have Mostert as a driver. You still have Car 25 unless you change cars in that respective group. Car 25 gets you points. Car 44 does not – unless you make a change to pick up THAT car in that group.

For the enduro round, whoever pairs up with the drivers in your cars, is on your team, but the car still gets the points – whoever is driving.

Please use the applicable Team Registration thread to make changes. Do not PM me with them. I want everything out in the open for all to see.

Points and scoring:

Each RACE will be scored for points.

Non-enduro rounds: Your total points tally from all of your Group A through Group C cars will be used to determine where you finish for the given race. Six cars.

Bathurst: All cars will be scored - 11 total.

New this season is the tipping comp associated with Car 97, Shane van Gisbergen.  He is considered to be in a group of his own for the 2022 V8CFL.  You must tip him weekly as to where he will finish.  One tip for all races that round.  The tip has to be the same finishing position all round/weekend.  If you do not change your tip it will remain the same tip for the next round.  You have unlimited tips but only one per round.

Tip scoring for non-enduro rounds:

Exact tip - 15 points
Within 1 - 9 points
Within 2 - 3 points

Tip scoring for Bathurst round:

Exact tip - 30 points
Within 1 - 18 points
Within 2 - 6 points

These points will be added to your total points score with your Group A-C cars. If SVG does NOT race, the tipping comp portion with respect to his points will not be recognized for the races he is not racing in.

The five bonus points for the fastest lap at each sprint race will also be added as applicable (SVG excluded).

Based on your total points, you will be placed in a finishing position/order. Whatever points per race the Repco Supercars are issuing for that given race, the V8CFL will also issue, based upon where you finished with your total point tally. For example, winners will receive either 300, 150, or 75 points.

Your cars in both Group D1 and D2 will be utilized for tiebreaking purposes. The highest finishers in Group D1 will break the tie. It does not matter where your Groups A through C cars finish, Group D1 will decide the tie. Each participant will have two cars in Group D1 in a listed order. That order will be your preference for breaking any ties.

For example:

If Participant A has Group D1 order as 10, 26
& Participant B has Group D1 order as 56, 55

It comes down to who finished higher – Car 10 or Car 56. Let us say Car 56 tops Car 10 by four places, in this case, Car 56 wins the tiebreaker.  If both participants have the same car listed first in the order, it will go to the second.  As listed above, Car 26 v. Car 55.

If still tied after the two Group D1 cars, Group D2 will decide the tiebreaker in the same manner with three cars.

Cars must be classified/score points to be utilized in the tiebreaker.

There will be NO identical teams. If there are, I reserve the right to reshuffle Group D2. I will not change the first choice unless I have no other option.  There can be identical teams with respect to Groups A, B, & C being the same six drivers, or Groups D1 and D2 being the same five drivers, but not both (A, B, & C - D1 & D2) .

The SVG tipping aspect of the 2022 V8CFL will neither factor in nor be recognized with respect to identical teams.

Sometimes teams change car numbers for various purposes. A change in car number from 11 to 100, for example, does not exclude the 11 Car from scoring. It will be recognized without saying that the 100 Car is/was/will be the 11 Car and scored accordingly.

Tiebreakers (in conclusion):

All ties will be broken using the following formula:

1) Highest finishing first chosen Group D1 car (points-wise) in race.

2) If tied, highest finishing second chosen Group D1 car (points-wise) in race.

3) If the applicable Group D1 cars do NOT break the tie (cars in the same order), Group D2 cars will be used in the same manner.

4) If tied after both Group D1 and D2 (both groups identical and in the same order) the highest finishing car in Groups A, B, or C will break the tie.

4) If prior to a racing weekend, if two teams form identical team rosters (all six cars the same in Groups A-C and all Group D1 and D2 cars in the same order), I will reshuffle the Group D2 cars for the participant who last changed their roster.

There will be no late signups like in years' past.

PENALTIES: Any points penalties levied against any team or driver by Repco Supercars will be fully recognized by the V8CFL. Said penalty, however, must be assessed due to a violation during a race, or post race inspection.

If a penalty is levied against a driver or team for a rules violation during qualification, practice, or something bizarre such as a pit garage fight/scuffle, the V8CFL will NOT recognize the penalty. It must be directly related to the racing, or race incident.

CAMS Stewards Summaries will be the guideline for any penalties.

Media Center:

TheArrow will be in charge of this department for 2022. He is our man for this annually.

************

There will be no Tournament.  There will, however, be an Enduro Cup of some sort (to be determined).

Please feel free to ask questions on this thread, and this thread only, so all rules/points breakdowns will be clear to all. Chances are, if YOU have a question, someone else has the same question. Ask.

I reserve the right for final say in rules.

************

In conclusion for 2022:

Each race will be scored for points. For non-enduro rounds Group A through C cars (six cars) count for points. Groups D1 & D2 will not.

For Bathurst, all eleven cars (Groups A - D2) will be scored.

SVG tipped 1-24 each round for extra points as noted above.  If tip is not changed prior to following round, said tip value will carry over to the next round.  If SVG does NOT race, the tipping comp portion with respect to his points will not be recognized for the races he is not racing.

Groups D1 & D2 will be used as part of the tiebreaking formula (reference above). If Group D1 does not break the tie, we will default to Group D2 breaking the tie.  If Group D2 does not break the tie, then we will revert back the highest finishing of the Group A through C cars for the tiebreaker.

You are allowed FOUR changes total in Groups A through C.

You are also allowed TWO reshuffles (total) in Group D1 and D2 – the tiebreakers.

You are allowed unlimited SVG tips for positions 1-24 but only one tip per round.

Clarification - SVG Tipping Comp:

For each round you will be required to tip SVG's finishing position.  If you tip him 4th, you have tipped him 4th for each race that round.  If you tip him 1st, you have tipped him first for each race that round.

You cannot tip him in Race 1 and then change the tip for him to finish in another position in Race 2, or Race 3.  The tip is for the whole round.

Points scored from the tip will be added to your V8CFL drivers' points and subsequently used to tally the race points.

If SVG sits out any race, the tipping comp is not applicable.  If he races a portion of the round, the tip counts.  A backup driver in the 97 car makes the tip for that race not applicable.

Rules modification:  All team roster changes for the AGP round must be done prior to Midnight Wednesday, for the qualifying will be done on Thursday.  Sydney, NSW time will be utilized.  This is now noted in the rules (above) in red fonts.
