New look for the Penrite cars: They look busy, but they look Penrite.

And Lowndes' livery revealed too. I think I preferred the test livery:

The Good Guys will be happy with the Supercheap livery release. (See pic above).

I quite like the look of the Jones/Boys car
If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

The DJR one looked WAY better on the EL, not a fan. @Stevo Qld I think it makes the droopy nose look worse, not better :)

And I LOVE the coke one!
I've been way to hard on the DJR one.. I've seen it on TV & love it!

The Lowndes livery isn't that great live. The red comes across as a weak light red. Test livery had far more pop to it.

I just looked at the V8Sleuth Spotters Guide.

A lot, maybe most, look very cluttered from that angle.

It also demonstrates that the major side panel sponsor should also rent space at the front.

Same. It looks good on track.

Well this looks horrendous... https://www.speedcafe.com/2022/10/24/gallery-jones-bjr-livery-for-gold-coast/?image=1

Get the picture of the oil bottle off it... pictures rarely look good especially if they're at abrupt angle to the lines of the car

this has to be the worst livery of the year so far for me.

Looks like a Super3 car.
Maybe that's the plan, make it look bad and everyone will talk about it?

Okay, just for sheets and grins, I'll take the high road on this one.

I like silver race cars and I will say the basic livery is pretty cool.  Obviously, a few forum members feel that there is a problem with said livery.

What does one get paid to come up with a final livery approved by the Team Principal even if everyone on V8 Central is putting their finger down their throats on this one?  Does it amount to free tickets to the race?  Cash on hand?

A graphic designer would get paid hundreds or thousands depending on their rate and level of service etc etc... (Everyone is different) In some instances putting the designers name on the car can influence the final price.

BUT in saying that a few of the supercar teams do the livery side of things all in house now, from design to wrapping the car. Ultimately the main title sponsor of the car has the final say (and their own logo/brand guidelines) weather the designer likes it or not... so if they say "we want a silver car with our logo and oil bottle on it" then thats what they get, even if the fans hate it.

At the end of the day, if the sponsor is happy with it even if you (the designer) or the fans aren't... then it is what it is, not everyone can be pleased.

Bland, yes. Terrible, not really.

Are they sponsored by Google?
