From looking from the outside the US has no left. Even Democrats are seen center-right.
I agree, there is division and only getting worse. And the US is not the only one.

Don't take Albert out of context, T1. I think there is a gap here with respect to language, and I have come across this before with you Aussies. Center Right might seem something different in Oz than here. The viewpoint here in the States is that left, far left, is Socialism. And that is where we are on that front. The right is Christian Conservatism. And respectively, it is a Black-White issue moreso than anything else.
Glad you two are tuned into our political issues. Me, I am trying to live life and blow it off in my elder years. I cannot let it bother me. I have bigger fish to fry.
But seriously, mates, don't let our politics start biting at you. Worry about other issues. The United States of America is not perfect, but no country is. I'll put my Stars and Bars flag up anytime when compared to any other country/government. As the late Jerry Garcia sang, "Red and white.... blue suede shoes. I'm Uncle Sam, how do you do?"
