Using a shorter track - the West Circuit.  I might find it actually easier to follow.  We have had this discussion before.   ;D

Having been part of the QMSC promoting team at Lakeside a lifetime ago, I can only wonder at and applaud the Application of wealthy genuine motorsports enthusiasts in building the bend to this stage and beyond.

Well done.

I can only wonder if the creditors of QMSC had voted with the unanimous QMSC committee to hand the Lakeside promotion to the wonderful Bob Jane.  Would Lakeside now be prospering in the hands of his descendants.

The race at the Bend?
Probably should be in nostalgia...

Looking forward to the West circuit. Bit more of a bullring ala Sandown and QR 500 events. T6 should throw up a few divebombs.

At least J-Dub has remained consistent on his parity stance. Race what 'ya got. 8)

If the change moves the car out of the 'parity box,' then absolutely Supercars should stand by their parameters. You'd assume Tim Edwards would only be green lighting changes within this, because he knows full well the obligations and legal processes from being on the Ford/Tickford side and then dealing with the stand off at Bathurst last year.

One can only assume the Supra falls under A1.4.6/7 of the Ops Manual - hence why Supercars can't/won't do anything about it. Given the timing, they can no longer make parity oriented changes for the remainder of the year, however I understand reliability solutions are fine?

Told ya the trigger was only there for the piss poor GM teams.

And it seems as if it has delivered for them
If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

Agree on the parity trigger, there for GM and wild that it is granted and suddenly mid-tier drivers are at the top. Let's see how the weekend progresses. Ford and Toyota genuinely have the strongest drivers in the series.

Nice to see this thread has the usual grumblers and usual fans. I'm looking forward to it!

Post-race Excellence Awards will be waiting in the Members Thread.  Like last year, vote for an A Driver and B Driver.  Hope to see you there.

I bet GM threaten to leave, despite denying it. Only reason Supercars would breach their own specifications ("Parity Box").

What's infuriating about all this, when Ford was on the back foot, everything had to be slow, methodical and measured. But when it comes to GM, Supercars will break their own own rules and policy at lightning speed.

Nothing like a bit of rain to make a great 500.

5 or so front runners have all either taken someone out or rotated themselves.
Some teams need their lawyers to write up letters to their co-drivers. There might be more time in that.
