Two practices tomorrow for the Boostmobile Gold Coast 500.
It seems that SVG only has to finish 24th to claim the crown for this year.

Hopefully there won't be too much damage over the weekend as it will be dead money the teams have to spend with only a couple of races to go with the old clunkers.

Looks like some Stangs still have one lap pace but I'm guessing they will get overhauled once the racing really starts.

Both half-hour sessions on the opening day of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 saw a spate of kerb strikes up and down the Repco Supercars Championship field, and the pace-setters were not unaffected.

Those kerb strikes are going to be a problem!! Last 2-3 minutes of the last session, 2/3 of the cars kerb strikes their lap..

Occum's Razor - just eliminate the chicanes.  They can slow down enough at the end of the straights.  Puts a premium on saving brakes.  There are runoffs if they miss.

Wow, Wilbur 3 or 4 tenths quicker than Anton. Will is well and truly worthy of the #17 seat next year!

Maybe Anton might have had more success at Erebus?

As for the chicanes, scrap the sensors and let the drivers risk ruining their cars ove r the chicanes.  It makes a great spectacle for the fans.
