The SVG factor is dismissed far too quickly.

The Scotty factor was dismissed after 1 race before Holden and its fans screamed "PARITY!!".
That's an outright lie.

Yeah? So Supercars weren't looking into parity with enforcing COG weight after ADL 2019.

Have you forgotten Roland Dane quote..."PWR ... have a slogan and it's called 'Engineering the Unfair Advantage' so we've got to deal with that at the moment."

Pity the old forum is gone, a few fans were claiming Scotty was lapping 1sec a lap faster than ZB. One of my Favs at time was "Mustang must have and advantage.  Lee Holdworth can't be running in the top 15".

He still is, and in a Mustang! :P :P

Yeah- I seem to recall a certain team owner banging on  before the poor Stang had even turned a wheel at Clipsal....

Interesting thing is that Davo is saying the ZB's are 1 seconds per lap faster than them in race pace....so parity is now as much of an issue as it was early 2019... https://www.speedcafe.com/2022/04/11/frustrated-davison-identifies-djr-deficit/?fbclid=IwAR35tgEzpUcyOnDDWULrQFn09Rhgk5ebZZAveF_vJqrxjgNkmvgb1aAWUQc

"I don't know why we seem to drop two seconds. Not sure. It's basically just braking. We just can't brake as we need. In the first sector is where we seem to be struggling."

That's Davo comparing his braking to SVG (and/or Mostert) specifically, right? Doesn't necessarily mean all the Holdens behind him nailed setup well enough to brake where they need to either.

I think when they get their set-up right they can hold on over race distance.

Agree.

The car is capable of holding on, it's the drivers and teams that can't get it to hold on consistently now Scotty has gone.

Not sure the 110km races are a great guide - the 250km races at Townsville will be a bigger test.

I can't see what all this hoo-ha is about. These cars are built to run for over 1,000 km.

Both cars now  have well developed and quite reliable engines.

Both cars are running essentially the same brakes and running gear.

The real difference, as in holding up, boils down to individual crew and driver set up ability.

It helps if one avoids other cars and off track excursions. ;D

The Fords are getting too many poles, and there more zb's than Fords in the field so statistically there should be more zb victories.

Because the Ford guys only accept parity when they will all the races

Quick! Move the goal posts.

ZB does have more victories since the last parity adjustment.

And how the reds were howling about parity in 2019. Careful throwing those stones you might hit the glass.
