Is it correct to say this year is the first year EVERYONE is starting with a brand new car???

2013?
I am pretty certain that's correct.

QuoteWith the requirement that all teams build brand-new cars for the 2013 season, most of the cars that were raced in 2011 and 2012 were sold to teams competing in the V8 Development Series, the second-tier category for V8 Supercars.

Weird seeing the #2 on a Ford

Trying to think back, maybe Masterton 1984 was the last

Seems to be a few issues with wheel nuts..  Going to make pit stops at Rd1 interesting!!

Both engines and aero to get another look:

https://www.speedcafe.com/2023/02/15/gen3-supercars-set-for-further-aero-testing/

This is how one gets caught out in a lie. Supercars say that all is within spec, Dane has a whinge about Fords whinge, GM suit has a whinge about Fords whinge.

If Fords concerns are baseless why the need for more testing?

Could that mean that although Supercars have had so long to get Gen 3 going and get the parity sorted, there is still an issue with the parity that they don't want to admit??

or it's an attempt to squash whatever is coming out of Ford's mouth, prove them wrong per se

Really? After Holden and its fans shat the bed over Mustang and DJRTP. You even got Dane howling over the 2020 VCAT just last week. Funny Bugger!  ;D

try the veal :D LOL!

that really was a disgrace and I hope we don't get a repeat in this series of cars.

the cars this year look ok, let's hope that they can get the specs finalised at least 1 week prior to the first race so that some of them can make it with the correct parts and not just sit around in the paddock because they have unauthorised bits attached.

I see no chance of cars not running due to parts availability or eligibility.

If a decision is made late in the day to change something, and part availability could be a problem, they will introduce the new part after round 1 or whenever it is logistically feasible.
Everyone involved has a vested interest in all cars being on the grid for round 1 and they'll make it happen.

Supercars have confirmed that all 25 Gen3 cars have had track time this year. That's a step in the right direction.
